Christian De Jesus Franco
WHERE I COME FROM
I was born in Puerto Rico and spent my childhood in Chelsea, where I grew up alongside my two siblings. My younger brother serves honorably in the US Navy, while my younger sister balances her job, college studies, and the care of her three lovely children. My family relocated to Massachusetts in search of better opportunities, ultimately deciding to settle in Chelsea. The choice to move there was influenced by the city's rich diversity, educational prospects, and its proximity to Boston.
MY ACHIEVEMENTS

In 2018, I was honored with the Elsie Frank Scholarship from Greater Boston PFLAG and was invited to speak at the Cultural Appreciation Week organized by the Malden District Court.

In 2019, I became a member of the Human Rights Commission Board for the City of Chelsea.

From 2020 to current, I serve on the vestry and dedicated numerous hours to various community efforts, including food distribution for families, hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic, and preparing hot meals in the church kitchen for Saturday distribution.

In 2024, I was appointed to the Planning Board.

In 2025, I was appointed to serve in the ALPFA Boston board as Director of Pride.

In 2025, I was reappointed to the Planning Board, and elected to serve as Clerk.

In 2025, joined Marketing Advisory Board for Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational Technical High School.
